cdsl810 181 #1 Posted May 2, 2013 So the Hobbs stopped moving. Does the meter run whenever voltage is applied, or is there some kind of switch somewhere that I'm not aware of that makes it operate. 1990 520-H is the affected horse. I measured 11.7v at the meter when engine was running. I didn't think to check for voltage with the key in the on position. Does the meter need 12v or above to operate? It was working two days ago... Thanks for your ideas
SousaKerry 502 #2 Posted May 2, 2013 Should run any time the key is in the run position, I have seen many of them fail on other equipment, usually a little moisture gets in them and then they are done.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,392 #3 Posted May 3, 2013 Powered by the 15 amp accessory fuse and grounded by the oil pressure switch. That way it will not run if the key happens to get left on with the engine not running. Garry
