Electro 12 deck belts

I just picked up an electro 12 with a deck, unfortunately the deck does not have any belts, so I was just wondering what the correct size belts are.

Mower belts are listed with the deck parts lists and decks are sized by their width of cut.

36", 42" and 48"?

Side or rear discharge?

To add to the confusion the parts lists are often shared by more than one size/type of deck but fail to show what deck uses what belts.

Here are the deck model numbers I see

5-1422, 5-1422, 5-1423 and 5-1000

Drive belt

6737 nla Use Toro 9782 (HAx69")

 

6869 Gates 1/2"x69"

 

4L690W Napa 1/2"x69"

Spindle belt

 

Toro 6738 {HA/4Lx86"}

 

6886 Gates 1/2"x86"

 

4L860W Napa 1/2"x86"

Later decks use different belts. Take a look at the ipl's here by entering the mower model number

to see if your deck is a match.

 

Best to get an original belt from Toro if you can.

I made a mistake.

The 1st deck should be 5-1421 - not 5-1422

It appears that my deck has wider belts than 1/2 inch, I think its 1". The deck was painted orange and it appears that the painter painted right over the sticker that has the model number. I may just put a rope in the pulleys and just measure it and find a belt that id that size.
