Tonyc 0 #1 Posted April 30, 2013 I have a D180 Wheelhorse, which after nearly forty years needs new rear tires. I have enquired locally (Ontario, Canada) but so far, no luck. The size is 27 x 9.50 - 15. These are lawn tires. Would appreciate any suggestions. TonyC

Tonyc 0 #5 Posted May 1, 2013 Thank you all for such quick and productive replies. I shall have to gather together my pennies etc, and get the "Old Girl" Re-shod. Thanks to all again. Tonyc
sned 15 #6 Posted May 1, 2013 Tony you are in the same boat I am in. Many people have switched to this size 27x10.5-15. It is more common and you can get skid steer tires.
sparky6398 2 #7 Posted May 1, 2013 Tony, Did you know that your D-180 cane with 26x12x12 on the rear originally? I would go back to the 12" wheels and tires. You can buy everything you need to go back original for what a pair or 15's are going to cost you. Just my opinion. Good Luck!
pacer 3,177 #8 Posted May 1, 2013 My 1975 D-180 came with 640-15's on it ... And while 15's are getting hard to find, when I recently had to replace the originals with an alternate size, I found them to be a fair amount cheaper than expected, under $100 each, and seems the big fat turf - say in the 12 inchers - tires get over $100 pretty quickly. ericj 1,579 #9 Posted May 1, 2013 the D series came with either or 26x12x12 or the 27x9.50x15. i am not sure which was standard and which was optional. my 18 auto has 15 and the D200 has the 12's with the turning brakes. eric j
Tonyc 0 #10 Posted May 2, 2013 Thanks to you all. I will probably go with the 27/8.50 as they are under a $100. Pretty cheap really. As am I. Thanks again, TonyC
