Tecumseh Throttle

Recommended Posts

I have a pull start Horse that I removed the carb for cleaning/rebuilding. I took this pic but I should have taken a few more because I have some questions. How does the plate hook to the throttle? Also there looks to be a spring in the right hand side of the pic but I can not find a spring. It has been a while since I took this all apart. It there somewhere where there may be an exploded view of this? Thanks. Jim

Oh Ok, never played with a vertical shaft Techy other then an odd push mower or two.  I will defer to another Ex-Spurt.

Remember an EX is a has been and a Spurt is a drip under pressure! :ychain:

It's been a long time since I fiddled with a Tec-crum-seh of that style, but I think it goes like this- there should be a rod with a spring that goes from the arm on the throttle cable connection plate to the governor arm, then a second rod from the governor arm (no spring) that goes to the carb throttle shaft.

Thank you. I am missing something. I need to really look at it against the pictures and your advice. Jim
