pgannon95 0 #1 Posted April 29, 2013 simply how wide (at the widest point) is the stock 77 c-
GlenPettit 1,717 #2 Posted April 29, 2013 Should be 36" without a deck. The rear wheels can be moved out wider slightly more, or wider, but "stock' with normal factory 23x12x8.5 tires, and 10psi, it's 36" wide.

Don1977 605 #4 Posted April 29, 2013 Decks off a vertical shaft lawn tractor don't fit on a garden tractor. A garden tractor uses two belts one on the deck and another over the mule drive to the deck.

pgannon95 0 #6 Posted April 29, 2013 in other words is it worth it
puddlejumper 67 #7 Posted April 29, 2013 with a little practice. you can take off the deck and reinstall in less than 5 minutes and usually half that. But the deck will be a little awkward to handle. once its off. If all you do is lean it against the shed may not be to bad. but in and out of the shed may be the straw that breaks the camels back. pgannon95 0 #8 Posted April 29, 2013 What do you mean getting it in and out of the shed
puddlejumper 67 #9 Posted April 29, 2013 Carrying the deck by itself into the shed once you have it off. If I understood your question/problem was the tractor with deck was to wide to go in the barn so you want to remove deck so tractor can be stored inside. pgannon95 0 #10 Posted April 29, 2013 ride its the the door way is 4 feet wide and then it opens up so i figured i park it inside and then lean the deck beside it until i cna make the doors wider
Hodge71 665 #11 Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) I would cut an opening in the bottom of the door frame on one side and put a hinge on it. I had to do that to a shed at our gun club so we could fit a mower with a 48 inch deck (about 56 inches with the chute in and out of a door that was only 48 inches wide. It works awesome. Your other option would be to trade someone for a 42 inch rear disharge deck. It would then fit through your 4' door. I can get you a picture of the frame/hinge combo and post it if youre interested in going that route. Edited April 29, 2013 by hodge71
pgannon95 0 #12 Posted April 29, 2013 that would be awesome i just need 5 inches
stevasaurus 23,287 #13 Posted April 29, 2013 In my opinion...after a couple of times taking the deck off and then putting it on...save the hassle and widen the door. Cover the horse out side until you get it done. Even if you built doors to fit the deck, it is about the time it would take to widen the doors in the first place. Do it right the first time and keep it simple.
leeave96 490 #14 Posted April 30, 2013 Another route is to find yourself a 36 inch rear discharge deck. The cut great and will fit between the wheel well's on a compact pick-up truck and into a narrow basement door. Don't ask me how I know... Good luck, Bill
