Garry , Is that a "B" series (21/32) or a 5L (5/8). X 141" belt. Not sure what the HA means. The one that came w/my tiller is a B138 & it's too short. Also, my idler didn't come w/the tentioner spring. Have any idea how long that is supposed to be? Thanks

An HA belt is 1/2" wide.

It has been suggested a Gates or Napa 6652BR may work 1/2"x139-5/8"

A B138 belt is an industrial belt 141" long but being 5/8" wide it will be too short in1/2" pulleys.

The 6135 spring

3-5/16" between hooks, coil 5/8" diameter 2-3/8" long, 34 coils of .070" wire

Garry, thanks for the Information. I'm off to find everything I need in the morning. One last thing. Do you have any idea the capacity of the 90 weight gear lube in the case of the tiller ? it has a plug on the top and the bottom side. Thanks again

A 1992 manual lists the refill capacity as 1 quart (.94 liter)

Mine is a ??-36TL01. I think it's a late 70's.I got an instruction manual & parts list from Tyson, shubox lover, but it didn't say anything about capacity.

1 qt indeed! I bought Mobil 1 75W-140 to put in mine. Make sure the tiller is level when you drain and add.

Kevin

My tiller {07-36tl01} came off a c-175 and the belt it came with is also too short to go on my 414-8. It measures approx 137.5 outside.

Got a gates belt guy nearby and saw Garry's comment "It has been suggested a Gates or Napa 6652BR may work 1/2"x139-5/8".

Also noticed you have the same set up as me a 414-8 and tiller.

What belt do you use on your 414?

Was wondering how your situation resolved itself with the 417?.

cheers,

john

I used a Rotary part# 12-12461. It is 1/2x141.1 & works great on my 417. Good luck
