chevyaddict83 39 #1 Posted April 22, 2013 I have a toro 268h I want to sell. Comes with mowing deck and bagger set up. What's a decent price for it. Its a 2001 with 800 hours on it. And what is the best way to get a showroom shine on it. Very clean, but want it cleaner, lol. Sent from my 416-
546cowboy 302 #2 Posted April 22, 2013 (edited) Turtle wax has a color restorer that works pretty good to get the color back and then some wax. If there are scratches in the plastic hood you might try some rubbing compound or one of those scratch repair kits. It just takes some time and elbow grease but a clean tractor gets the best price. I did sell a 269H last year that had a new drive belt, hood, decals, power lift, a 52" deck and snow plow for $1200. GlenPettit 1,718 #4 Posted April 22, 2013 For all Plastic and rubber parts (seat, knobs, grips, hose, lens, tank, dash, steering, wheels, etc.), use: Meguiar's Protectant . It takes a few days to completely soak in, especially on the vinyl seat. Parts will look like new.
546cowboy 302 #5 Posted April 22, 2013 Without pictures it's hard to say but that 269H was the top of the line from Toro in 1996. I really have never seen a 268H so I wouldn't hazard to guess. The bagger should help the price though. You have to decide how much is the least you would take for it and bump it up some so you have room to bargain.
