gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,510 #2 Posted April 20, 2013 The drive belts must be completely covered with fabric. Some have raw rubber sides and they will not slip as the design calls for. You may also have a shock damper connected next to the belt idler pulley that is not working correctly. Many remove it and use the spring used on the earlier models to pull the clutch rod back on the left side. The spring hooks into a web above the left axle housing.
