Clutch adjustments on a GT 1100 Another Noob question

Recommended Posts

I just got my new horse out and mowed the lawn today, when I was done I put it in high range 3rd gear and let the clutch out nice and slow and almost stood her up on end, none of the other gears do this and 3rd didn't do it when I took it for a test drive before I bought it. So I am wondering if I need to adjust the clutch or is just how 3rd high range is with Wheel Horses?

Sounds normal if you had the engine running wide open. Third gear high can get exciting with enough RPM. The Work Horses are lighter in the front than the Wheel Horses.

Thanks Don, This was really my first time using the horse, I guess I am used to my old craftsman, this makes me feel better about it, and yes I did have the throttle wide open, I guess it is just going to take some time to get used to the clutch on her, thanks again and have a great weekend Don! :handgestures-thumbupright:
