Wheel weights or not

Recommended Posts

Getting ready for the sc plow days event this weekend. You guys got any thought on weighting the rear tires. I'll be running my C125-8 and the D200. Should I add wheel weights or no. How about water/antifreeze in the tires? What you guys/gals think?

B-100 Dan

Hi Chris,  I run bar tread tires on my B-100 loaded with fluid.  I have a set of the plastic coated cement Wheel Horse  wheel weights, but have never used them.  Might try them some day.  But for now the BIG weight on the seat works pretty well!!!!

Good luck.

Dan

Weights are good but I think fluid in the tires is best. In any case I'd at least do one or the other.

I have dumbell weights on my 414-8, and leave them on. I have a few ditches I mow and the extra weight down low helps from tipping over!

85#'s on each rear wheel. The only visible weight is a 50#'er, that is just larger than the rim.

Added water/antifreeze today. We will see how it does this weekend.
