joeshorse 0 #1 Posted April 15, 2013 Just recently rescued my Dad's 1962 Model 753 with hydraulic lift plow from his shed. I called dibs on it when Dad passed away and it's just been sitting in the shed at the house. I've been picking at it and got it running again, (new battery, some little things). The cylinder needs rebuilt and the return spring in the pump unit is broken(scored one on Ebay for the elusive Century Fox hydro unit). I will try and post some pics here soon. Takes me back to when I was 10 and Dad got this tractor from our neighbor who had it sitting behind the shed, so I guess this will be it's second resto. I really dig all the photos of the ones on here, fanastic restos.

Wheel-N-It 2,976 #9 Posted April 16, 2013 Yes, Welcome to RS. I understand about having Dads old LAGT. My Dad passed in 2011. I have his Simplicity 728. He bought it back about 1970. It still runs good. Good Luck with your project. Be ready for the bug to really bite you hard. As soon as you finish this one, you will be looking for another one. I think that happened to most of us here.

boovuc 1,090 #15 Posted April 21, 2013 Welcome! There are very few hydraulic shops worth their salt that can't fix or retro-fit lift assemblies for older tractors. I hope you really enjoy your Dad's WH and keep it for a good long time as he did!
joeshorse 0 #16 Posted April 22, 2013 I use this local shop for everything from jacks to porto powers, etc. I work for a local NAPA and we send oddball stuff there all the time. If the internet had been around when he was using this Horse, he would've had this thing fixed up years ago.
