Cross your fingers for me.....

Docwheelhorse

Hello All,

I was running my B80 today at my boat club moving the work boats around and towing tarps full of leaves etc....  One of the newer members comes up and says 'Wheel horse huh...." I say yep and we get into a discussion of why there the best thing on 4 wheels ever.

He then tells me that he has his fathers Wheel Horse in his basement and that it quit running many many years ago and that he was going to scrap it. I ask what model and he says "I dunno... I'd call my wife but my cell battery is dead".

I hand him my cell and tell him to call away... she picks up and tells him to hold on as she goes to the basement. Next thing I overhear her say is "it says 753 on the side......" I tell him I will gladly pay the scrap value and will pick it up and how I am heavily into them. He was surprised and he was going to arrange a time for me to pick it up.

Yes I agreed to buy it sight unseen for approximately $60--$70 and maybe its a complete junk, but Im taking the chance. It just goes to show you the A) these "old girls" are still out there to be found and B) sometimes your kids just dont care and your stuff ends up in the scrap yard....

Hopefully it all works out and he doesnt try to jack the price now that someone has shown interest (been there and done that)

Here goes nothing

Tony

You never know where you'll pick leads for these little babies.

Our local Post Office clerk has seen me mailing Wheel Horse packages

for a couple of years, and out of the blue says, hey my dad has two

Wheel Horses he doesn't want anymore, do you? . . . (haven't got them yet).

On your potential 753, be sure to ask for any paperwork or parts lying around,

and follow up with Franks suggestion too.

Great Find!!

How can you lose with scrap price Tony. ?..you only lose if you don't buy it...or you have to take it apart to get it up the stairs. :)

Unless it was put in the basement BEFORE the house was built I'm hoping it went through a walk out!!!!
