Carb Id

Hello guys, I am hoping someone can give me some help here. I need a carb kit for my 855, it has a kohler 181 under the hood. I went to Napa and tried to order a carb kit for it and they couldn't find one listed in there book. They asked me what kind of carb it was and well I don't know. From doing some other research it looks like kohler carbs and walbro carbs are used on these K181's. Which carb do I have?

Carb kit is 25 757 01 sometimes it is listed with an S (25 757 01-S) when you search them on ebay, the carburetor kits were the same for the k90 up to the k341 and maybe more but I only know what I deal with the most often.  Your carburetor looks as though it probably came from a cub cadet with a kohler k series engine.  Tulsa engine warehouse (www.tewarehouse.com) sells the carburetor kit for $8.84 I have purchased many kits from them and they are genuine kohler parts, their part number is 06-1018 they have a flat rate of $8.95 for shipping so I usually wait until I have a large order.

If your carburetor is a Carter it will have Carter Model N cast into the side of the carburetor housing between the low speed adjustment needle and the air filter housing.

:) Look down the carb. throat behind the choke plate and see if there is a number stamped there, also a Kohler/ carter carb. should have a number stamped on the mounting flange. I am going to say it is a Walboro, has it has only one adjustment screw, unless there is one on the bottom (fuel bowl) and I can not see it in the picture. Walboro shoud have letters on the side and two numbers on the mounting flange. :flags-usa:
