k twin kohler series- Is there a Series "1"

I keep reading about the twin series "II" engines, is there a series "1" for the 17, 19 and 21 hp? Or are they all twin 2's.

The original low oil pressure engines are referred to as Series 1s although Kohler did not use that terminology.

The original versions would fail if run on inclines for any length of time due to poor oiling when the engine is tilted.

Kohler rectified the oiling issue with a higher pressure system and other changes and the new versions were referred to by Kohler as Series II.
