KC9KAS 4,744 #6 Posted April 7, 2013 I watched the video and thought a little weight on the front was needed, but looked like you were having fun and doing a good job plowing.

squonk 43,894 #8 Posted April 7, 2013 You could make a bracket and hang some luggage on it!
WH nut 553 #9 Posted April 7, 2013 You could make a bracket and hang some luggage on it! Thats what Im thinking, Nice 704. Mine will look like that one day if I ever quit using it. Its my favorite tractor
leeave96 490 #10 Posted April 7, 2013 Nice job with the plow. I assume the 704 is a gear drive? If so, what gear/range were you plowing?
WH nut 553 #11 Posted April 7, 2013 Nice job with the plow. I assume the 704 is a gear drive? If so, what gear/range were you plowing? It is a gear drive. I was going in 2nd but it was a little too fast.1st I would spin out on occasion
WH nut 553 #12 Posted May 4, 2013 Garden is all ready for planting
papaglide 542 #13 Posted May 4, 2013 You could make a bracket and hang some luggage on it! Thats a very nice set up. Couple questions: are those weights regular 40ish pounders? Do you think that a B80 could handle 1 or 2 in the front? Lastly, I would buy a bracket from you if you would make it!!
squonk 43,894 #14 Posted May 4, 2013 (edited) The weights are standard MTD suitcase weights. I think like 42 lbs. each and the B 80 will handle it. I'm assuming the B would be the same set up as my C-160 would be. I have a weight bracket for that also. I didn't make them. I have a retired friend who made them for me. I don't recall what I paid for them. If you really want one I can find out how much and I can have him make another and ship it to you or if you are going to the PA show I could bring it.Here's a link on the C bracket. 6wheeler 669 #15 Posted May 4, 2013 I made my brackets from scavenged Simplicity brackets. I hang 50 to 100 lbs. on the front. However, A word of warning. I had a similar setup on my C-120 and snapped 2 spindles. So be careful. Garden is all ready for planting And by the way WH nut. I am officially jealous right now. Today? I would have to plow the snow off of my gardens to be able to MB plow them :
squonk 43,894 #16 Posted May 4, 2013 I only hang 3 on for show. 2 is plenty for work.
papaglide 542 #17 Posted May 4, 2013 Mike, I have the same weights. I would appreciate it if you could talk to your friend regarding shipping one. Thanks.
