CasualObserver 3,411 #2 Posted April 4, 2013 I can't believe no one's piped up yet.... yes, Rj-35s have reverse, and the brake kit was an option. do a search from the main page, there are lots of topics about it.

VinsRJ 723 #6 Posted April 5, 2013 Reverse is engaged when the speed selector is pulled toward the rider fully... at which point a bronze friction disc on the engine pulley will engage a groove on the veri-drive, thus reverse rotating the belt system. As stated above the brake kit was an option and not all RJ35s had them, the kit consisted of a foot lever, hood stand cable mount, a cable and sheath, gear case cover mount and a band brake. VinsRJ 723 #12 Posted April 5, 2013 I don't even install the reverse disc... no chance to hear that sound and no chance to wear it away... additionally without it installed it gives you a little more range to reach and stay in nutral.
