36" deck horsepower

How much power do I need to run a 36"RD deck I have a 1067 I need to power I was thinking a Honda clone but dont know what hp I need for the deck. Thanks

My 1975 B-80 has an 8 MP Kohler and runs a 36 inch deck fine.   The older 36 inch , gear-driven decks worked on 7 and 8 HP Kohlers!

You'll be fine. My B60 turns the 36" deck with no problems at all.
