can't find an 84 gt1600 manual

i couldn't find a manual for my exact year and model in the downloads section, is this one close enough (for everything except the engine of course) ?

 

 

if not, which one is the closest?

That should be the same as the 1983 1642.

Toro lists your tractor as using a model 5086 8-speed transmission with 4-pinion differential and 1" axles.

 

Have a feeling that should be a model 103916 8-speed transmission with 8-pinion differential and 1-1/8" axles.

 

Which is correct?

actually the previous owner installed the 8 pinion diff with 1 1/8 axels from a c series.

 

stock it had the 4 pinion, 1" axels. thanks for giving me the model# to my new trans though.

Don't count on that being the transmission model number. The 103916 was used mainly in 1978-79.

 

This is the service bulletin that made me think the 5086 was not correct but maybe they used the alternate bearings in it also.
