doc724 925 #1 Posted March 30, 2013 OK, so I have this old mower deck that I am restoring. OEM P/N 8969 blades are $72 at Partstree which is not an option since this is not planned to be my primary machine. The 8969 blades are medium lift blades. There was a different P/N for SD decks, P/N 101355, these are "high lift blades" So the first question is: "Is there any reason why high lift blades will not work on a RD deck?" I have combed the internet for these 101355 blades and so far no luck (at least at a price I want to pay). It seems the 14 1/8 inch blade, the center one, is not made any longer. The original blades are Doube D center hole with two side holes. I can't see any benefit to the Double D as a round hole will work fine so long as the two smaller holes are there. As a last resort, I may look for blades from a newer 36 inch RD or SD deck that just have the round center hole and then just drill the two 1/4 diameter holes on either side. Any other ideas? GlenPettit 1,717 #2 Posted March 31, 2013 Try this: http://www.oregonproducts.com/pro/lookups/selguide_bladelookup.aspx The blades are always measured diagonally, through the center hole. If no luck on the chart, contact Neil there directly with your measurements. Good Luck,

tombones49 3 #5 Posted June 24, 2013 Why not just go with the single round hole and remove or grind off the two pins. The blade(s) would then be no different than most all of todays blades; the pressure of the mounting bolt on the spring washer is what drives the blades.
