418A stator,rectifier wiring.

I finally started working on the 418 that i hauled in a few months ago. When i got this tractor it did not have a stator on it.The story was the older gentleman who owned it took it in to get repaired, then got into it with the repair guy who slapped the flywheel back on it and sent it home.(Minus a few parts) I picked up a flywheel with good magnets and a stator (and the missing head tin).Didn't take long to pull the flywheel and put the other stator and flywheel on.Plugged into the rectifier not shown,i put it on after i took the picture). Now my question is,where does the middle wire from the stator connect directly too? I have not found any loose plugs or wires that look like it should connect too.I think it runs to the ignition but does it connect somewhere else then run to the ignition or does the wire go straight to the ignition.Wiring/electrical is a weak point for me.Any help is greatly appreciated. As you can see in the pics i used MV20 parts and the tin is slightly different so i may have little fiddling to do with it but it seems like its going to work.

The two white wires from the engine harness go to the regulator (they are from the stator).  The third wire (I believe it is  purple or blue) is the kill wire to the magneto.  It goes to the ignition switch.  CAUTION!!!  Do not apply voltage to this wire it is just a ground for the mag to kill teh spark.  If you apply voltage it will destroy the mag.

Hello Rustyoldjunk,

I took my 418-A apart,

And can't remember exactly how it goes back together.

If you have a picture of the left side with cover off could you post it please.

I am not sure where the black thing from the coil that has the wires into it goes.

Its the black thing that is hanging inof front ofwheel the flywheel axel in your picture .

I'll post a picture of mine tomorrow.

thanks alot.
