Newbee. What to look for

Hello.

I am trying to learn all I can so that my first purchase is a wise one.

I am looking at 701, 702 or 552 because danuser made loaders for these models.

Are there any other round hoods with optional after market loaders?

What broken parts are "make or break" a deal. If the ________ is broke, don't buy the tractor!

And what should one look for, generally before buying a round hood.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure, but I would think if it fits the 61-62 models it should work on all the round hoods up to 64.and possibly work on all the short frame square hoods. As far as what not to buy, For the loader I would stick with kohler power,due to horsepower7or 8 versus 5.5or 6, other than that they are pretty simple as long as the engine runs,and tranny is allright pretty much everything else is obvious. Since your wanting it for your loader might pay special attention to how wore and sloppy the steering is. I think that little loader was only rated for 300 pound. but that will be a bear turning a round hood I think when you add the weight of the loader and hydralic pump hanging on the front of the tractor.
