rmaynard 16,350 #2 Posted March 19, 2013 What type of rebuild kit are you looking for, just gaskets, or do you want everything including valves, rods, pistons, etc.?
Snowman6.0 3 #3 Posted March 19, 2013 I have new valves looking for piston, rings and rod. I see you can pick up the gasket and seals in a kit about anywhere
rmaynard 16,350 #4 Posted March 19, 2013 Have you had the engine spec'd at a machine shop to see if you need those items? If so, do you need standard size, or oversize piston/rings? Standard or undersize rod?
Snowman6.0 3 #5 Posted March 19, 2013 I need a + .10 piston and .10 rod the machine shop has the motor now
rmaynard 16,350 #6 Posted March 19, 2013 Does your engine have a 2-7/8" or 2-15/16" bore?
rmaynard 16,350 #8 Posted March 19, 2013 That may be a tough one to find a piston and rings for. Let's let some others chime in here and see if they have any ideas. I would ordinarily suggest doing a Google search, but I came up empty when I did a quick look there and on eBay.
Ken B 3,189 #9 Posted March 19, 2013 (edited) Have you verified that you have a working ignition system with a good coil? The coils for these K141's are a little hard to come by and very pricey. I've been looking for a coil for mine for a while now. If the coil is no good ya better add that to the list. Edited March 19, 2013 by Ken B
Snowman6.0 3 #10 Posted March 19, 2013 The coil works fine it just had a bad exhaust valve and has some scoring in the cylinder
rmaynard 16,350 #11 Posted March 19, 2013 I will refer you to this post from last year.
