kennyd 0 #1 Posted March 11, 2013 I need a complete engine for my tractor, are there any good boly on engines available that will work onb my tractor that don't require alot of changes? any help is appreciated. It has the original tecumseh on it but it ran low on oil and seized up. it's free now but getting it rebuilt seems like hard thing to do with limited parts available. thanks kenneth bolt on engines. sorry Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
illinilefttackle 399 #2 Posted March 11, 2013 Welcome Kennyd- I just sold a 656 that had a 6hp techy on it-it started to be hard to start, then no start. SO-I went to Harbor Freight and got one of their $99 engines-27 month free replacement guarantee, and put it on. You might want to get one the bigger engine they have-they start on one pull everytime-run good with lots of power- there is not a lot of changes to be made-possibly crankshaft dia. difference, but a new pulley solves that easily-here are a few pics-Good luck!-Al Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
