fisherman 39 #1 Posted March 10, 2013 i just got a 60' comercial deck and I believe a pretty rare front attachment bracket with the swivel wheels for mounting a 42 or 48 inch deck out front will try to put pics on here later!
Tankman 3,523 #2 Posted March 11, 2013 Now that is a great pickup. I have dreamed 'bout owning one (or both). I have lots of spare time so, I guess my 48" decks do the job. I have two dozers for winter, a snow blower in great shape I no longer use. Stone drive might not be too friendly to the blower. I keep thinkin' 'bout a grader blade. Hey, stone driveway, would be handy. What are you mounting the 60" deck to? My 520-8 has the swept forward front axle, the two 400's I have don't.
groundhog47 347 #3 Posted March 11, 2013 That is strange another guy went fishin' in Florida and got a wheel horse while fisherman got some really, really neat stuff , have seen pics and bet is rarity (the front wheel kit), great catch!!
MalMac 1,332 #4 Posted March 11, 2013 I would not want to put a 60 inch deck on a 520-8. That's a manual lift. Even though you only lift the front it's still a heavy beast.
Tankman 3,523 #5 Posted March 14, 2013 I would not want to put a 60 inch deck on a 520-8. That's a manual lift. Even though you only lift the front it's still a heavy beast. This Jarhead was thinking of using a 12v electric linear actuator. Comment? Not sure if it would fit, I'll have to do a little more research. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200333211_200333211
MalMac 1,332 #6 Posted March 15, 2013 (edited) Don't know how well that will work. Anything is better than trying to lift that monster manually . Edited March 15, 2013 by MalMac
fisherman 39 #7 Posted March 15, 2013 Y not a 12v winch lol! or y not just use the front attachment, that way u never have 2 lift it like the previous owner did! Any way im sure the new owner is going to get years n years of use out of it! thats the way wh should of designed all their decks, but would of gone out of business even years b4, they would of never sold any replacements! Whmaverick 54 #8 Posted March 16, 2013 How much do you think that deck weighs? I don't have anything to use the deck on but often thought the front deck frame would be great for mowing in and out and around landscaping and other obstacles in the yard. Cool find hope you can find a home for it.
fisherman 39 #9 Posted March 16, 2013 been told 330 - 350lbs. it is heavy for sure, but bet it dont bounce around like the normal weight decks do n skip. yea previous owner thought the front attachment was great for getting close with the deck out front like that!
