C-165 starting to come together

Recommended Posts

Rock farmer

Bought this for 150 bucks. Someone had already started stripping parts of it. I was told it had tranny problems. Tested the engine and it fired right off ! Then it caught fire! ( I hate when that happens!)

Anyway I decided to take the tranny apart. Found nothing wrong. This tractor had been badly abused and mistreated but its coming back together!

Looks good! I like the temporary decal on the rear fender   .  Nice to see your painting the center of the hood black, I'm not a fan of ones where the whole hood is repainted red.

It's already painted black. Can't wait to get the paper off it and see the contrast! But I've got to do a little more body putty and then one more coat of red first.

What kind of paint job is that? Compressor or spray bomb? Also what color red?

BTW, it is looking good! Try not to let it catch on fire again after its all painted. :teasing-poke:

It's rust-oleum sun rise red spray cans. I use rusty metal primer on the innerds and brush on a nice coat and spray prime and spray Paint the sheet metal.

Joe,

Good to see another Wheel Horse brought back from the scrap pile. A lot of people wouldn't give that tractor a second look when you started, but they will notice it when you get it finished.  Nice Job.
