badbowtie 0 #1 Posted August 6, 2008 The rearend on my suburban leaks like a cheap diaper, the case is no problem I can cut gaskets for that but Im not sure what to do about the shaft seals. I thought about taking some measurments and ordering some from Mcmaster-Carr unless anyone knows where I can get the correct ones for it.
TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #2 Posted August 6, 2008 Toro # 83-2840 or CR9835 for the axle seals. Toro # 83-2830 or CR7627 for the brake & input shafts.

TT-(Moderator) 1,127 #4 Posted August 6, 2008 Find a place that sells CR (Chicago Rawhide) seals. Our local NAPA store carries that brand.

DMESS 24 #7 Posted August 7, 2008 Aren't there two variations in brake shaft seals depending on wether it's a 5003 or 5010 tranny? I think I recall my 401 having a differnet seal from the input side to the brake side. B)
