5hp briggs pulsa jet fuel pick up tubes loose

Hey everyone I'm working on a pulsa jet carb and I can't get the fuel pick up tube to stay tight in the carb body. I recently bought this engine on eBay and when it got to my house the tube was at the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions? I've considered getting another carb but this one is modified and blueprinted and would be expensive to replace. Thanks.

Clean it good with scotch brite and use some green sleeve and bushing loc-tite, put it on the tube about an 1/8 from the end so you don't get it in the fuel passage. Let it set up for a few days before you get any fuel on it.
