fireman 1,022 #5 Posted February 25, 2013 (edited) WOW! I figure at best 15 mpg towing the trailer x $4.00 a gallon average is like $320 in gas. The days of horse hunting any long distances are over for me. I'm glad I have been there done that a few years ago when gas was just over $2.30 a gallon. It better be a Senior or a NOS tractor for me to go that far!!! Good luck with them! Edited February 25, 2013 by fireman

fourwheels0 191 #9 Posted February 25, 2013 ok ya gas is more than it used to be but the road trip is a big part of the enjoyment i get out of this hobby. i figure i can at least break even at the minimum after all is said and done but hopefully make a couple bucks and get a road trip out of the deal. i don't really do this for me as much as saving tractors and getting others to enjoy them too. tankman nope didn't loose anything off the truck or trailer lol. i'm kinda anal about strapping stuff down lol. fireman 1,022 #11 Posted February 26, 2013 It is fun seeing other parts of the country. The fuel cost aren't just killing our hobby, it's wrecking everything! I almost bought an 310-8 in nice condition for a $210 buy it now on ebay. In real nice shape. The problem is to drive to Rhode Island and back would bump the cost of it to $400.
