Mr. 856 170 #1 Posted February 20, 2013 So I have one little washer left over after I installed my governor gear and cross shaft. I think It is supposed to go on the cross shaft(thinner end). Im assuming it would then end up inside the engine up against the brassscrew once you screw the brass thing in? Im also supposed to have a washer under the governor gear itself to ride on the stub. right? I broke rule #1. Never took pictures of how the governor came apart. Photobucket seems to not be working so I have pictures. Only washers manual speaks of are on governor gear stub and one on the gear stop screw. I have both those installed. Last little washer is missing a home. Can anyone help?
rmaynard 16,349 #2 Posted February 20, 2013 Why not just upload your pictures directly to your post and forget Photobucket. There should be a thrust washer behind the governor gear. The other washer I'm not sure of. Pictures would help.
