Frame to Hood clearance on 520

I don't have easy access to any of my tractors at the moment, and an opportunity might have presented itself in the way of a cheap engine...

 

Can somebody measure the distance between the top of the framerail and the underside of the hood of a 520H for me?  It ought to be the same for all the 300/400/500 series I would expect.

looks like 20 1/4" measured next to the oil filler tube.  the hood does appear to have a little more clearance as you get back to the "firewall"   what are you looking to stuff in there?

It's a hatz two cylinder diesel. I forgot the model number, but it's 22 Hp so it's probably a powerhouse.

I didnt measure the hood width or the hood lip.  some re powers will require notching the hood etc.  never done it but plenty of ingenoius RS folks have and will chime in soon!
