Rockshaft Question

Recommended Posts

dbartlett1958

Can someone tell me what size the holes are that the rockshaft fits into in the seat/fender support piece on a 416-H? Probably the same on most of the Wheel Horse tractors.

I am gathering materials for a rockshaft and sleeve hitch build, but don't really want to pull the seat and fenders to measure the holes if someone can supply the answer.

I will post some pic's when I make a bit more progress.

Thank you.

The holes have brass bushings in them. The rocker shaft is 3/4" and the brass bushing out side diameter is 7/8". The biggest difference in all the rocker shafts is they changed the c-clips from the out side of the fender support to the inside when they put the gas tank under the fender.

Don,

Thanks for that info. No bushings in my tractor as it never had a rockshaft, but I suspected as much.

Thanks again,

David

There are a few members here who gave made their own. Not too difficult. And a lot less expensive.

I am making my own. Just needed a little info to get started prior to tearing the seat and fenders off.

I got my bushings for my 520 at ACE hardware for $4.00 for the set. And c-clips for less than $1.00....
