John Deere x700 series -- Opinions Please

John Deere is closing out the current generation of x700 series machines. $1,000 "cash on the hood" after you negotiate your best deal.

What do you think of these? Looks like $10,500 to $11,500 would get you in to a x748 for example.

Seems like a lot of machine for the money. (I'm probably just dreaming!)

IMHO they are a great tractor - top to bottom. Heavy duty - ground engaging and a lifetime tractor.

The X700 series are awesome tractors. You can get Category 1 3 point hitches and there's a lot of attachments you can buy, including a center blade and a loader. Diesel engine, 4 wheel steer, 4 wheel drive is just some of the features you can find in this series. You might also look at the 1 Series tractors, a little more tractor for a little more money.

To get one of the last generation X 700 series tractors you need to move fast if you want a brand new one. Dealers are having a hard time location unsold units right now. The new generation X 700 series tractors are 1000lbs lighter and are not available with a loader.
