Painted some mufflers tonight!

I had ordered two Stens Pepper Pot Mufflers off ebay for $15 for two of my Horses and went over the original paint with a red 3M Pad in order to coat it with some high temp paint. I have an oven in my basement that is hooked up that I will bake these in to cure them probably tomorrow.

Here are some pics :)

Why not install them and fire up the engine....too much heat???

I don't think it is too much heat but there are specific instructions on the can as far as curing off the engine which may work better? There is a process of heat and cool that you have to do 3x with progressively more heat each time. Do you think I need to or will engine heat be enough?

I'm no expert Kevin....better follow instructions. I didn't do that but then mine were not new either.

Look very nice! I have cured them on the engine and had pretty good luck, but if you can do it in a oven that would probably be better.

I've always cured the muffler, on the engine. Easy enough.

Results were always satisfactory.

If you have the oven however, why not use it. Follow instructions! Sounds good.
