Dresden Guy 24 #1 Posted February 11, 2013 I just installed a "rebuild kit" in my Kohler carb on my K-341 (C-160) and noticed that the inlet valve seat that came in the rebuild had a "***" on it, and the one I removed did not. The EBay vendor made note twice in the item description that the valve seat had the "***". Is this going to make a difference in the card functioning and/or performance? I could not find and mention in Brian Miller's Carb Info. I have included a picture. I need to know before I put the carb back on the tractor. It's almost plowing and tilling time!!! rmaynard 16,354 #2 Posted February 11, 2013 I noticed that the "censor" built into the forum software changed the word that you used to something else, but I know what you meant. Thanks Maynard..... the inlet valve seat with it's washer does seem to bottom out snugly and I didn't know if somehow the "stickyout" thing might cause some unwanted venturi effect?? Thanks again Maynard..... I put the carb back on, and hit the key and it started the first time and then after I set the low & high jets, it sounded like a new K-341 should sound. There sounds most men (and some ladies) can relate to: (1) an idling old Harley bike, or a1954 Christ Craft V8 I/O, or an 1944 JD "single-lunger" .......you get the point. Sweet Music!
