Which Tranny do I have?

I see threads with the number of the tranny along with it. Starts with a 50 if I remember right.

Anyway I was wondering which one or ones I have.

I have a 77 C-160-8

87 312-8

88 416-8

with the Hi-Low range ofcourse and 1 1/8'' axles.

The Pat.# tags on the 312 and the 416 say 2988185.

No tag on the 160.

Or is there no way to tell without looking inside?

The patent number has stayed the same since it was filed in 1958.
