Does it still have the model number tag? From here that looks like a later model snowthrower for a quick a tach tractor, post 1973?

These throwers have a belt engagement assembly because the tractors they fit don't have a PTO clutch.

Pre Attach-Matic throwers have a longer mounting frame and attach directly to the tractor frame.

The mounting frame also angles upward - meaning it's for a tractor with full-size tires. The Lawn Ranger thrower mounting frame was straight.

Here's a picture of a 6-2211:

@Lynn: do you have the guide idler assembly?

I bought the tractor from a guy who said it came with his house. He said an older man owned it since new with deck, plow and snow blower. The reason I asked the questions was someone contacted me and asked if I had a blower that would work on his 876. I bought it about a year and a half ago and the engine had a broken rod. I have replaced the engine with a Harbor Freight 6.5 hp. I really don't need the snow blower.

It should be a direct fit on the 876, if it's what it looks to be in the pictures.

I used one on a C-160 for a while. Had to replace the bolt with a piece of 3/4" round stock and find the right belt. It got me by for a couple of winters.

Wheel Horse stuff is pretty versatile if you use your imagination.
