Rear Discharge Converted to Side Discharge

Anyone ever took a 42 inch rear discharge and blocked off the rear, cut an opening in the side and made a side discharge deck?

I wouldn't do this to the nice 42 inch rear discharge deck I have, but if I were to stumble on another one at the right price, I might give it a try.

Anyone done this?

Yes,

I have a rebuilt 36" RD (#5 0621) that the PO converted. I have a picture..... it's for sale. It's in very good condition. Note the elongated Height adjustment handle.... you don't have to get off the tractor to change the setting. Kind of handy.
