Custom Front Suitcase Weight Bracket for Round Hood

We all know how light in the loafers round hoods are in the front.Using the back blade on my 704 created some interesting wheelies. I thought about a tombstone. They are real cool but cheap that I am I wanted something different and more practical. I can use suitcase weights on my C-160 and Power King as well.

Bracket in primer. I'm using the front quick hitch holes so i put in a spacer for the front holes in the bracket.

I liked it so much mocked up I made one for the 160. A bit different so it will come off easy for mowing.

I can't take credit for the fab work. I designed the brackets but a friend of mine made them.

If you had put some spacers on the bracket for the C-160 you would not have to remove it to mow.

That's true but taking it off will make for 1 less thing sticking out mowing in tight spots plus I think it would interfere with the snowblower. Does work good for a bumper to protect the hood though

Name plate was just stuck on it to show the versatility of the bracket. It's magnetic. Had it made at our local steam pageant. The guy that does them is at the big show in Pa. too :thumbs:
