Hello everyone!

So I took a little break from planning the FEL project and found maybe a new toy..... So I came across this diamond in the rough on Craigslist and I am wondering if anyone can give me some info on it??? Model? Year? What they think its worth? I think it's a c165?

Looks like it's a C-165 auto from the early 80's but I'm not that well versed on that. Nice pick up though. Others here will see this and know more shortly I'm sure. :eusa-think: :greetings-wavegreen:

1980 model 01-16KS01 with a Sundstrand hydro and Kohler K341AS-71303D

1980 model 01-16KE01 with an Eaton hydro and Kohler K341AS-71303D

1981 model 01-16KE02 with an Eaton hydro and Kohler K341AS-71311A

Posting all the numbers including the serial number off the engine should date it if the engine is original to the tractor.

It sure looks like my 84 C165(mine is an 8 spd). That 48" deck looks good. The muffler is upside down (or replaced). Looks good enough for a closer look. Maybe a useable tractor with just a little work. As far as the age goes, it looks like an early 80's. Like Garry said, check the serial# it should be below the dash tower on a sticker. Value? Whatever you want to pay for it. I paid $450 for mine 5 years ago. It was a running useable tractor,so far it has been a very good machine that I would not get rid of. :twocents-02cents:

The $175 price isn't terrible, but a non-running (not able to test the) hydro could end up being a money pit or even a lawn ornament.

I can't tell which hydro it is from the pictures, but I'd certainly be more comfortable if it was an Eaton vs. the Sundstrand.

It's your money, but I'd work the seller for a better deal.

Well I contacted the seller and he emailed me back it sold the day before :(
