redidbull 54 #1 Posted January 12, 2013 I am going to pick up another Horse this weekend only minutes from my house. It says Wheel Horse Lawn Ranger Tractor w/orig. Tecumsh Pull Start eng.I have included a small pic but will post more when I get it. There is no date listed so I have no idea what it is. I have a 73 No Name and I am hoping some of the parts interchange. Thanks for any info. Jim
Tankman 3,523 #2 Posted January 12, 2013 Can't remark on interchangeability of parts for the two model Horses but, the Ranger looks great! Nice find and know you'll treat the with respect! :laughing-rofl:
wh-jason 33 #3 Posted January 12, 2013 that ranger has the verticle shaft motor, not many parts will interchange.

JackC 617 #7 Posted January 12, 2013 Are you sure you want a vertical shaft? I hate the clutches on those. It does look good in the picture.
Hammerhead 817 #8 Posted January 13, 2013 Yeh those are pretty cool, they are the one's with a fiberglass hood, body and fenders. That makes them kind of fragile too, but still a collectible WH. Verticle shaft for sure. Good find! These were built in 1970 and 1971 I think. KJ

redidbull 54 #11 Posted January 13, 2013 Thanks all. I picked it up yesterday and it is a cute lil tractor.. Looks like the baby of the 73. I didn't do anything to it right now but it is suppose to run. Suppose to leak a little gas around the fuel bowl. Because of this acquisition I need to get rid of this: http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/classifieds/item/2061-toro-mower-free/
