Might have lost key...

So what do you do if you might have lost the key to the ignition of your wheel horse? My 312-8 key is missing...haven't found it yet. Would my 414-8 key fit? Could I get copies made?

I am not familiar with what ignition switch was on that model but most lawn tractor keys are universal, not like cars. Should be able to find someone with a wheel horses try different keys and get a new one from a lawn tractor dealer. Most of mine have Indak ignition switches and work between each other.

almost all the ignitions keys are interchangeable, even on the off brands so that i have found as far as a copy your toro dealer or nearest small engine shop should be

able to hook you up, good luck

I have seen the INDAK keys at Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, etc., and also have about 20 of them in my desk drawer at work. (spares that came with new Toro and Jacobsen equipment)

I have a small bucket here ful of them, 99% of all mowers are the same, even many snow blowers, I like the toro blower keys they have a big rubber head and is easy to turn with gloves on when using a tractor in the winter.

I know this is a old post but I wondering if you might be will to part with one of the keys? I recently bought a Wheel Horse C100 and it only came with one key. I would really like to have a spare if possible.
