Christmas Present...Not Wheel Horse....but for my Wheel Horses!!

Finally got a pressure washer I have been looking at for about 4 years. I usually have used a garden hose or loaded the tractors up and taken them to the local car wash. I spent a lot of time evaluating and researching before I got it. 13hp Honda with Cat pump. 4K PSI with 4 GPM flow on a stainless steel cart. Got a real good deal because the company I managed bought a skid unit back in the summer with the tank and pressure washer mounted to a skid so you could put it in the back of a pickup. The service tech said if you get too close....this one will peel paint!!!! Can't wait until this spring when I can use it.....going to be fun cleaning up the horses with this one!! Thad (Ohio)

That's a great present; it'll cut any thing stuck on probably, watch your hands. Ought to do a great job on concrete and brick!!!

Very nice unit...Can't beat the HONDA's.

We had a 220 VAC Karcher unit at work and it was the biggest POS I ever laid my hands on. Couldn't get anyone to work on it. The maintenance supervisor bought it from a dealer/plumbing shop (owned by his brother) and they didn't even want to work on it!

That is a really nice unit. I have a honda on mine and you cannot kill them. Keep an eye on the fluid in the pump and change it each year. I second what was already said by getting the water out of the pump unit. Home Depot and other stores sell a small can of conditioner that screws a male end into the female end on the unit. You spray it in and it pushes all the water out and lubes up the internals. Good luck with it!

ps I once borrowed my uncle's 13hp honda pressure washer to clean the house prior to painting it and while the wand was on I allowed it to cross my shin bone on my leg and it cut clean through my skin (ouch) ...

Thanks for the tips. I bought some winterizer cans that you spray into the pump for winterizing. The dealer of the pressure washer went ahead and winterized it before I picked it up since I wouldn't be using it until spring. I do need to get some extra oil though. They also said it wouldn't hurt to have the seals replaced every few years as maintenance. Thad (Ohio)

if you can keep it indoors thats way safer than risking that all the water is out of the pump,i tried the anti freeze and now i have no pressure washer,it wasnt enough anti freeze and it split my pump wide open :banghead: :banghead:

Been there, done that!

If you need indoor storage for the PW, I have room in my barn lower level. Go ahead and ship it! :laughing-rofl::laughing-rofl: :laughing-rofl:
