Help Identifying a 36" Snow Blower

Recommended Posts

chesbaycruiser

Can anyone identify this blower...specifically what it fits? I know very little about them, and would like to know if this will fit on a B/C Series or 300/400/500 Series. I'm thinking it may be for an older, smaller model?

Thanks!

Looks like 1962 ST-3072. Can you post the serial number on it?

Will it work on a 520?

If it is a ST-3072 it is 30" wide so too narrow for the later tractors. The single stage for the later models is 42" and the two-stage is 44".

Wish you where closer I'd trade you a good blower to fit your tractor for that one, it looks to be in good shape.

With that lift arm, mounting bracket and belt guard, what you have is a ST-302 which was used on the mid-engine tractors i.e. 551. The ST-3072 uses the same blower, but has a different lift arm to be used with a front engine tractor i.e. 701. Also the mounting bracket would be deleted on a ST-3072. I see the engagement linkage......do you have the clutch pedal as well?

FYI...this isn't mine. It's for sale on Richmond CL, and i was inquiring for a friend about fitment. Not gonna work for him, so if anyone is close by and needs one, it was still on there last time I looked. Asking price is $300, but I'm guessing that's a negotiable price. The info I have is this:

"The above snow blower was bought from a private owner over 40 years ago, along with a small 5 hp Wheel Horse tractor. The previous owner told my father that the snow blower was made for a bigger tractor. When we tried the snowblower, we also found that the small 5 hp engine didn't have enough HP to through the snow like it should have. Basically there is one belt that drives the blower. There is a pulley on the side of the tractor that connected."

The listing title is: "Snow blower-Wheel Horse 32" width" (Not 36" as I mistakenly titled this post!)

Happy hunting...
