How to install a Drive Belt on my 257 H

Need to install a new drive belt on my 257 H.

Looking for advise on the installation of the belt and also

how to adjust the belt tension.

Also, where can I find a repair manual for this model?

I don't know about that model but if it is anything like a 269H you won't like it. When I did that one the dealer was so glad he didn't have to do it they let me use their manual. It took me about three hours to do it and you have to do it all from under the tractor. I have an overhead chain hoist and that worked good. The adjustment on the 269H was a spring that put tension on the pulley.

Well after looking at that link in the post below it seems it isn't anything like the 260 series. Looks pretty simple really.

Here's the IPL for the drive belt: LINK It might not be what you need, but it least it shows the routing.

The only manual I can find is on eBay..... enter "810563P" in the search box.

I see it at Ebay. I have not looked at this manual before. Wondering if it's worth having??
