ok i have what i think is an ark 550 loader with a 40 inch bucket.

can i put a ark 48 inch bucket on my loader without modifying anything.

as long as your mounting for the bucket is the same it will fit, keep in mind that extra 8in of bucket will be more strain on your front spindles, along with the more material on one side might lift one tire up off the ground easier, also might need more ballast weight.

Just remember its just a garden tractor! A lot of talk about how much weight a fel will lift. I think the question should be how much should I lift safely. I think the 40" bucket will hold all the weight you should be lifting safely. Just my .02.

good points. i think i'll stay with the 40 inch and see if i can get somebody local that can weld in a new bottom plate.

as you can see it's pretty bad.
