Two of my Horses, '85 416-8 and '88 414-8, have the silver (pewter) colored rims.

What is a good off-the-shelf match for touching up the rims? Rather use a can 'n brush to avoid

any over spray.

Purchased DupiColor Silver wheel paint, off-the-shelf at the auto

parts store.

Cleaned the rims, spray painted away ('85 416-8 rims).

Did a surprisingly good job. 'Cause I didn't spray everything I looked for the

mismatch. Couldn't find any difference, old paint / new paint. Thumbs up!

Now, I'm set to spray the 414-8 '88 rims. DupliColor Silver Wheel Paint matched perfectly.

Rustoleum sells a silver wheel paint. I picked some up at Wallymarts but have not tried it yet.

From what I can tell, if you want it to last, it is best to use a paint specifically formulated for wheels.

That's what I hear, "Wheel paint for the rims."

I have used RustOlem Satin White on a '68 Raider 12 and a '73 "No Name" 12 hp Auto rims. Worked,

and still working well. I painted the wheels a year ago.

I was impressed with DupliColor's Silver wheel paint. Quick, easy, very nice.

Sounds like DupliColor has some serious wheel paint.

Note the use of index cards for wheels with tires on them.
