Workhorse 700 - HM 100 wiring

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I'm working on restoring my 69 Workhorse 700, dropping a Tech HM 100 in it ,hope to get the wheels back on and the motor set on this weekend. I have read about a fuse and diode panel on the old Tech's. I remember that was on the original 7 hp motor. This HM 100 doesn't have anything of a regulator or rectifier on it , just the two wires coming from beneath the flywheel. So I'm wondering what I need to get all the wireing set up right , I have it pretty much figured out from the original wiring diagram and other wiring diagrams, but looking for a bit more guidance.

Here's what I started with

And this is where I'm at tonight

Thanks, Dwayne

I have a WH 300 series with a Kohler Magnum 10 engine and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the choke cable and linkage set so it will work. The numbers on the engine label  are worn off the, so I cannot give anyone that information. Does anyone have a picture or can you head me in the right direction.

My arm for the linkage assembly is set at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock if that helps. There seems to be several different linkage rods for this engine.

      Thanks

I have my 25A fuse blowing every time I put a new one in the slot. The old one was burnt up when I got the tractor put this year. It sat for a year with a dead battery. I stopped using it as much because the transmission is clattering pretty bad when taking off on second or higher. I had to replace the clutch belt a few years ago and couldn't get an OEM. Not sure what is the problem there that's another issue though.

I have checked the wiring and patched the worn spots where it could be grounding out. The fuse blows as soon as there is power to the system with the ignition off. I'm at a loss of what to check for at this point. Any input from someone who has had this issue would be appreciated. I'm not sure what these units are in the photos but do not know how to test them for a failure. They are directly in loop with the battery and the ignition loom looks to run into that 25A fuse.

      Hey all!

Replacing the drive belt on my 252-h. Anyone know the torque specification for the center screw when I put this pto clutch back on? I know it was on there tight it took a minute for the impact to break it loose. Thanks!
