Charger 12

Recommended Posts

Picked this one up with two decks, snowblower and chains. Been trying not to buy anything before winter but needed one to mount the sicklebar on for spring. PO blew the head gasket and I think the valves need doing. Shoots flames out the exhaust and turns it cherry red.

Someones been at it though thought Chargers (numbers say 1969 Charger) only were manual lift ? This one has hyd lift and manual clutch

Nice machine. You beat me to it.

The seat and the wheel weights alone are worth the price.

How are the seat cushions, they look good in the picture?

Seat back has an inch seperation along the seam in the first picture. other than that no other rips or marks. PO bought it used in 1970.

I always look at whats with the tractor more so than the tractor itself. Once I get the motor straightened out I'll probobly redo the rest as a worker

Chargers came standard with manual lift, but hydraulic lift was an option.

In 1968, all PTO clutches were options, but I am not sure about 1969. I had one 1969 R10 with a manual PTO clutch and another with an electric PTO clutch.

1969 models should have breakerless ignition. You might want to examine the ignition conversion as a source for the glowing exhaust - but you might be on to something with valve issues.
