brandon701 23 #1 Posted October 31, 2012 If you all recall there was an article in the LAGT magazine a few months ago about a wheel horse snowmobile. Well that was me and now Im thinking about restoring it since I have a nice wheel horse snowmobile trailer I can put it on. Does anybody know where I can get the decals for the snowmobile and also there are some cracks in the plastic pan that i was wondering how I was going to fix. If anybody has any idea on how to fix thise cracks please let me know. Also the running boards are rusting out on me, I would probably have to get them replaced. Thanks Rusted running boards
CasualObserver 3,411 #2 Posted October 31, 2012 Contact these people. http://www.egraphicsltd.com/ They've used to have WH sled decals... although I don't see them listed on their site anymore. You'll have to call and ask them. There's a guy about 25 miles north of me that does reproduction windshields if you need that. Cannon Classic Sleds. Guy's name is Jeff Haugen... big vintage collector. I think you'll have to investigate plastic welding to fix it. I think those pans were made from ABS plastic. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
roscoemi 245 #3 Posted October 31, 2012 :text-yeahthat: I used a plastic welder years ago at a body shop I worked at. Worked pretty well and seemed to hold up.
855ownerJoel 32 #4 Posted November 1, 2012 For decals I have always used Vintage REPRODUCTIONS at www.clickitandstickit.com He even makes up new from pictures, taken with ruler for scale exact size. He has duplicated many decals for me for all types of equipment. Excellent to work with too. 262-644-8553 is his number. He is out of Wisconsin.
