Reading Interchangeability List Correctly

If there really are no stupid questions...

I've recently brought home a 414-8. Want a thrower for it. The interchangeability list is written so that in 1987;

a 06-42st05 was the correct model thrower for the tractor

That was later replaced with 06-42st06 that would still fit my tractor.

That was later replaced with 06-42st07 that would still fit my tractor.

And the later model thrower 79360 would also fit my tractor.

Even a 1997 79360 would go right on the tractor with out a lot of swearing and persuasion.

At the moment not really into improvising. That will come later.

Experience has taught me not to believe everything I see so I've included the page I referred to.

Actually virtually any snowblower that was built for the front Tach-a-matic hitch, and horizontal shaft tractors will fit with no problem. from about 1972ish on up to end of production.

Ya what Kerry said you will find there are many many blowers that are a direct fit for your machine, to bad your so far away I have 3 or 4 blowers for sale that will work for you.

theres a 42 inch that will fit in barrie right now for 350.00

Got a line on one in Picton but the guy is looking for $700+ for '97 model # 79360. Looks to be in great shape though.

The price range on these things seems to vary widely - from $100 on up. As always you get what you pay for.
